The archive’s weakest point is not its images, it is knowing what they are. Anything that improves that is welcome, and it all goes through the form below rather than anywhere else.

Only you and a moderator can see them.

What is worth sending

Nothing publishes unreviewed

Submissions are checked before they change anything public. That is not distrust. An archive whose metadata can be edited without review stops being a reference, and the whole reason to cite this one is that somebody looked.

Contributors whose corrections keep proving right stop waiting: after fifty accepted at ninety-five percent accuracy, an account is trusted, and its corrections to who is in a picture, what category it belongs to and which version it came from apply the moment they are made.

Never automatically, at any level: a source, a provenance, whether something is published, a replaced file, or anything raised as a rights issue. Those are what the archive is for, and they wait for a moderator every time.

Rights holders

The form above handles takedown requests, and one filed there is private: only a moderator sees it, including any screenshots attached. Nothing about it appears in public. It is read the same day.
